Mercobeef selects pasture-raised Argentine Angus genetics, bred for fine marbling, low-stress handling and optimal Hilton-quota carcass yields every cycle.

Under Minerva Foods stewardship, dedicated procurement teams contract calves from San Luis and Córdoba ranches, finishing them on natural pampas grasses for red colour, moderate fat cover, and tender texture that meets United States Prime specifications while honoring European Hilton allocations.

Argentine Angus Beef: Origin-Verified Excellence

Mercobeef S.A. extends Minerva Foods’ footprint into San Luis, running Plant 1113 in Villa Mercedes and exporting grass-fed Angus cuts under U.S., EU and Chinese approvals. The 2024 acquisition lifted Minerva’s Argentine daily kill capacity and secured Hilton-quota boneless allocations for premium markets.

Embedded in Minerva’s Origin Verified program, the facility applies satellite deforestation monitoring, blockchain-backed traceability and third-party audits, targeting ISO 14001 certification in 2026. Workforce continuity, local cattle procurement and incremental freezing upgrades position Mercobeef to add two hundred million dollars in annual export revenue once fully utilized within Minerva’s South American network.
